Health-related legislation was a major focus of the Arkansas General Assembly’s 2025 regular legislative session. Lawmakers and Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders approved measures intended to improve maternal health, strengthen the state’s health care workforce, and address numerous other issues impacting the health, health care, and quality of life of Arkansans. ACHI Interim Health Policy Director Jennifer Wessel provides an overview of new health-related laws in an article published in the summer 2025 issue of Arkansas Family Physician, the official publication of the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians.
