Don't Waste Your Money | The hidden risks of using AI tools for jobs, essays, and more

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The use of Artificial Intelligence is creeping into just about every job, and even job or college hunting.

It's very tempting to use, but it could easily backfire on you. Free AI programs can fill in applications or even write essays for you.

Tests are now showing that AI can sometimes generate facts that are untrue, and they can be costly and embarrassing.

Just recently, the Chicago Sun Times was forced to admit than an AI bot wrote an article about the best summer reading for 2025, after half the books on the list turned out to be fake.

When it comes to applying for a job or college admissions, AI may make your essays sound "too good" and your prospective boss could realize it wasn't you who wrote it.

If you're using AI in your day to day life, make sure you're reading everything it writes very carefully.
