After announcing his future retirement from athletic director, Joe Castiglione addressed the media on Tuesday alongside President Joe Harroz Jr. and Regent Anita Holloway.

OU launches AD search
Chair of OU Football Randall Stephenson will lead the search committee for Castiglione’s successor. Castiglione will remain involved in the search process, serving as an advisor to the committee alongside Stephenson.

Castiglione and President Joe Harroz Jr. commented on projects they will work on throughout the remainder of Castiglione’s time at OU. Major facility renovations are already underway for golf, tennis and gymnastics. However, there are still needs for several other sports on campus.
The program that built the builder
Over the past 27 years, Castiglione has undoubtedly built and shaped the university and its athletic department into what it is today, but Castiglione credits the university for playing a vital role in his personal growth.
