LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Employees of the City of Laredo may experience higher health insurance costs.
On Tuesday, July 1, the Laredo City Council met to discuss the budget, with employee healthcare as the primary topic.
City officials predict that healthcare costs will rise by 10.5% due to increasing claims and medication expenses; however, some experts argue that this increase is excessive.
Laredo City Council says they are working to keep health insurance affordable while staying within budget constraints.
