LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - The Lawton Police Association held a special golf event on June 16 aimed at supporting youth sports in the community.
The LPOA Golf Tournament brought area golfers together to raise funds for youth sports across Lawton.
They Raised funds to support young athletes in a number of areas like scholarships, uniforms, and covering entry fees for sports.
“So our primary goal with the nonprofit is youth sports every bit of the money that we’ve made from the last 2G tournaments goes directly back to youth sports,” Association President Clay Houseman said. “We have a lot of business people out here that have given to come out and play we’ve been blessed that they give us a donation each year for this event and they also come out to play in it.”
In addition to the tournament, funds were raised through a raffle held for participants and donors.
