Lubbock Public Health Adjusts MMR Vaccine Clinic Hours

8 hours ago 2

LUBBOCK, TX (NEWS RELEASE) - Beginning Monday, June 30, 2025, the City of Lubbock Public Health Department will discontinue walk-in MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) vaccine clinic hours and return to normal operating hours by appointment only.

Appointments for the MMR vaccine will now be available:

Monday through Thursday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Friday: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This change follows a period of expanded walk-in availability that was implemented in response to concerns over the measles outbreak in the area. There has not been a reported positive case of measles in Lubbock County since May 4, 2025.

While the schedule is changing, Lubbock Public Health continues to strongly encourage residents to stay up to date on all recommended vaccinations, including the MMR vaccine, to protect themselves and the community from preventable disease.

To schedule an appointment, call 806-775-2933 or visit //mylubbock.us/publichealth.
