Even in the second half, the DFB team is still lacking luck in the offense. Once again, it's the referee and VAR who have something against a German goal.
After he had already taken back a penalty in the first half and instead rated it as a dive by Karim Adeyemi, it now hit Niclas Füllkrug. He went into a robust duel with Adrien Rabiot in the 53rd minute and passed the ball on to Deniz Undav, who remained ice-cold in front of the goal and pushed in for the supposed equalizer.
But after VAR review, referee Ivan Kruzliak rated Füllkrug's tackle as a foul and took back the goal.
