EMPORIA, Kan. (WIBW) - Newman Regional Health announced the addition of Dyllan Landry, MD, a board-certified general surgeon, to its medical team.

With experience in laparoscopic, robotic, emergency, and trauma surgery, Dr. Landry significantly enhances the hospital’s growing surgical services.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Landry to Newman Regional Health,” said Jen Willden, Executive Director for Newman Regional Health Medical Partners. “His surgical expertise, dedication to patient care, and Kansas roots make him an invaluable addition to our team and the communities we serve.”

Dr. Landry grew up in southeast Kansas, attending Neodesha High School. He pursued his Pre-Med undergraduate studies at the University of Louisiana Lafayette (ULL) and Pittsburg State University before earning his Medical Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita, where he also completed his General Surgery Residency Program.

Before joining Newman Regional Health, Dr. Landry spent three years performing a broad range of general, emergency, and trauma surgeries at a trauma center in Northwest Arkansas.

His practice at Newman Regional Health will focus on all aspects of general surgery, including hernia repair, endoscopy (EGD and Colonoscopy), wound care, colon surgery, soft tissue and skin surgery, and advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery.

“I am very happy to be a part of Newman Regional Health, and I look forward to providing care for Emporia and the surrounding community,” said Dr. Landry.

He and his wife, Megan, an emergency nurse who is also working towards her pilot’s license, met in Wichita and are excited to be raising their six children in Kansas.
