Venus Williams proved, at least for one night, that she’s still got it.

The 45-year-old beat Peyton Stearns in the first round of the Citi Open on Tuesday night, a stunning victory for the seven-time Grand Slam singles champion.

This was no easy opponent for Williams, as Stearns is nearly half her age (23) and the No. 35 player in the world. That’s probably why Williams was wearing such a big smile after the match.

“I’m just trying to figure out how many wins will it take before I’m off COBRA,” she joked. “I haven’t asked the WTA yet, but I gotta just keep winning until finally my insurance kicks back in, so … ”

With her victory, Williams became the second-oldest woman to win a WTA singles match. We’ll have more on that in this week’s quiz — and because you love quizzes so much, make sure you test your knowledge of veteran athlete comebacks.
