The Golden State Warriors are still trying to figure out what to do with Jonathan Kuminga. They extended him a $7.9 million qualifying offer, and, as a restricted free agent, they can still match any offer he gets.

Kuminga's playing time in the Bay Area has fluctuated, and he has yet to live up to the sky-high expectations scouts had when he first entered the league.

He's been openly frustrated about the lack of opportunity, and most signs point to the Warriors trying to put together a sign-and-trade agreement to please everybody.

Per The Athletic's Anthony Slater, the Warriors have set what they believe to be a reasonable price for the promising 22-year-old:

"The Golden State Warriors, according to league sources, have been searching for a promising young player plus a first-round pick in return for Kuminga, should they ultimately choose to part with him in a sign-and-trade scenario," wrote Slater.

That's why they didn't hesitate to turn down an offer from the Sacramento Kings, which, per Slater, consisted of "Devin Carter, Dario Šarić and two second-round picks."

Kuminga is coming off averaging 15.3 points per game, and he's shown glimpses of elite two-way potential.

However, he didn't look sharp when given a chance to be a starter this season, up to the point where the Warriors ultimately had to trade for Jimmy Butler.

Steve Kerr and Stephen Curry have urged him to stay patient and ready, but given his open frustration with the organization, that ship may have sailed already.

The Warriors aren't likely to let him walk away as a free agent, so whoever wants him will have to put together a more enticing trade package.
