AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Paine College held a health and wellness fair on Sunday, but with a twist.
Princess Tiana, other Disney princesses and even Batman appeared at the fair.
Adults were able to get health screenings, learn about insurance options and also get a haircut.
One of the organizers says it’s important to know your health status.
“That’s the main thing, it’s free. There’s no charge. All you have to do is come out, take advantage of the different opportunities that you can to know what your stance is. Again, the main reason is it’s free, and we need to know what our body is doing, what’s going on in our insides, our body. We need to know our status. The main thing is, you know your health status again, but it affects the family, it affects yourself, so it’s free. Why not come out,” said John Milton, CEO, Angelic Community Resource Development.
This is the 25th year for the event, and if you missed out on Sunday, you can look out for it again next year.
